Tiger wasn't caught by his tail - he was caught by his texting. Now: There's an app for that!

Yes, Tigertext.com has made it possible to close that pesky loophole forever!

Once this futuristic app is downloaded, one has the ability to send text messages AND photos that will actually self-delete - from the phones of both the text-er AND the text-ee.

Cheaters, sexters, and stalkers can rejoice - reveling in the knowledge that their lives just got easier! They can now more easily indulge in their favorite hobbies while at the same time 'deleting' any nagging concerns of ever being caught, exposed, inconvenienced, embarrassed - or, heaven forbid - persecuted!

Yes, why risk requiring ones trespasses to be forgiven - when one can simply make them vanish into thin air?

Said vanishing act will occur at a precise moment - pre-determined by the originator of the message - with options ranging from between 30 seconds and 30 days. The countdown begins the moment the recipient opens the message. There is also no way for these messages to be forwarded - or saved!

Making it even more enticing - messages are not retained on the tigertexting web-server. They are irretrievably 'gone' - and therefore - cannot be used "in evidence against you."

Is it any wonder then that half a million iPhone and blackberry owners have already downloaded this free James-Bond/Mission-Impossible/Maxwell Smart-type app - with politicians, CEO's, and celebrities leading the charge? Regular folk, pedophiles, and all makes and models of sexual predators will not be far behind!

Yes, this app could prove to be a nightmare for legions of terrified women and children across the globe who are maliciously, malignantly - and often murderously stalked! They will no longer have the option of saving threatening texts or lewd photos - making it even more difficult to receive any form of legal assistance or protection.

But, as long as the Tigers of the world are getting their needs met!

As long as one can now blot out those boo-boo's, boobies, wowzers, and whoopsies! Delete those drunken rants. Secure those secrets and nix those pix!

In closing, the powers that be at Tigertexting.com insist that their product is not named after that 'other' Tiger. It is simply a co-inky-dink - as they would never dream of jeopardizing either his reputation or his brand!

Uh-huh.

You realize we have that in writing, don't you?

I guess this will work well for the paranoid crowd. I wonder if there is a way for lawyers to dig the messages up if they really wanted to.

WillStarr 3 months ago

My solution is to never send such a text. I sleep well that way.

ImKarn23 3 months ago

i wonder as well Michael! I remember the TSA telling us that the human x-ray booths didn't retain records either...hmmmm..Anything is doable in this day and age, me thinks! Thanks for your support, as always!

Reminds me of Mission Impossible self-destructing tape. Great! Hilarious!

PHILLYDREAMER 3 months ago

This sounds like an awesome app. I know I could have used it in my wilder days. I'm sure they will have some way for authorities to recover the messages in cases of legal issues.

ImKarn23 3 months ago

Thanks for dropping in, Philly! They say 'irretrievable'...but...

Interesting but there are other ways to catch a cheating man. The truth will always come out but tigertexting will give them some time....

Lol at TigerTexting saying the name was nothing to do with Tiger Woods. Yes. I believe them too. As if. :)

ImKarn23 3 months ago

ImKarn23 3 months ago

@WillStarr: Hi Will! Good solution. Mine's not quite as drastic, but - I never learned how to send a picture - and I never want to learn! Thanks for dropping by!

@PattyAllen: Your mission...if you choose to accept it...is to find more things to TAXXX!!!!

one2get2no 3 months ago

Now we are entering the world of James Bond or Ethan Hunt. I shall be from now on paranoid every time I hear the 'beep'that signals a message coming in to a cell phone near me. Nice hub and great info Karen.

ImKarn23 3 months ago

@one2get2no: Your mission - if you choose to accept it...LOL..

alocsin 3 months ago

What will they think of next. Voting this Up and Interesting.

Perspycacious 3 months ago

For every defense there are two offenses. "Irretrievable" simply would mean "presently irretrievable." I recommend that all junk mailers use such an app and set them for 30 seconds from the time they are sent, rather than the time they are opened!

Bijja 3 months ago

This is such an amazing technology.

Jessica 3 months ago

Wow, you learn something new every day! I had not heard of this technology. Sadly, it is just another way for the untrustworthy to pull the wool over the eyes of those they supposedly love. But if it wasn't this, it would be something else. Schemers are always looking for ideas! ;) Thanks for sharing Leslie! Oh wait...how will I cyber stalk people anymore? wahhhh!!! hehe j/k

sheilanewton 3 months ago

You always find a great topic - then write your article with humour and expertise. Brilliant, ImKarn. Found this on RG by the way - and friended you there! oh - voted up of course.

ImKarn23 3 months ago

Perspycacious: Lol! Good idea!

@Jessica: Cyber stalking is still open and available - just don't use the phone..LOL

@Sheilanewton: Thank you, my friend! Always flattering coming from YOU!

martin 2 months ago

i'm on it

mphsglo 2 months ago

Very interesting. It sounds like a good app, until taking in regard that it could be abused and used to hurt others. The smart thing to do is never send out anything that might land you in hot water.

As far as saving the message, where there is a will there is a way; someone will come up with a solution. :)

pagesvoice 2 months ago

I know there are many of us...especially men...and yes that is a sexist comment...that have magic mirrors. We really do believe our equipment is so unique that everyone would be so impressed to see it. Then there are the words and gobbledygook correspondence that we can't share with the ones that really matter. Ugh. Say what you mean and mean what you say and take pictures from the neck up and we will all feel better in the morning. LOL
