'Do You Hear What I Hear?' The 'Queen of the Night' will never 'Breathe' again!

Whitney Houston is Dead! The Heartbreak Hotel is Full Tonight!
I'm so emotional, baby! Whitney Houston is dead at the age of 48!
The queen of the night will never breathe again!
This is one moment in time we wish we could take back! The Star Spangled Banner is flying at half mast and the heartbreak hotel is full!
Where Do Broken Hearts Go?
We learned from the best what sheer talent was - yours shined brighter than a million dollar bill.
I can't tell you - or even imagine - how many artists today learned from the best - YOU! You were always willing to give them one moment in time.
Whitney, while you were the furthest thing from every woman - you gave us nothing but love, and the world was so in love with you for it!
But now - you've found a higher love, and you're his baby tonight! He's been saving all his love for you!
You didn't know your own strength and were takin' a chance . And now you have nothing .
Love didn't save the day !
Bobby? He might give good love , but - he wasn't all the man that you need! - it was just another sad love song!
There was no doubt that you truly did love that man .
He was your greatest love of all and he meant the world to you - but - how many ways did he prove that he wasn't whachu needed ?
He was trouble, and he was makin' you high. Step by step, you found the rock - and then - the rock found you!
He shoulda hit the freeway long ago, but, he couldn't just be a man about it!
Was it worth it, we ask? When you almost had it all and brought so much joy to the world?
Why does it hurt so bad? Why couldn't someone have run to you? Now, sadly - no one can call you tonight!
It's not right, but it's ok!
You are free from the pain of this world and can finally exhale and be at peace! Your music is your legacy and will make it seem like you never left.
Maybe now - you can breathe again!
And I? I will always love you!
Rest in peace.

And yet Bobby Brown still went on stage and performed last night. Go figure. Sad, sad tragedy, for sure. :(
Well aren't you a clever one. Nicely done young lady.
I never cared much for her music but it's always sad when someone dies so young.
...I thought you were my 'queen of the night' and if 'I do not hear what I hear' from you then I will never 'breathe again' ......passionate tribute from one true talent from another ......(true talent that you are)
.....I will always love you, incidentally, as you probably know was written by Dolly Parton and I really love Vince Gill's version
....great work as always - you are truly unique - you always stand out by making your hubs look different.

Very well done. The world will definitely miss her.
Well done as always
You did a great job of incorporating a lot of Whitney's songs in your poem. She was a phenomenal talent and you don't come across a voice like that every day. Her songs as your poem is testimony of, will live for ever.
Very beautiful! I voted it as such. Truly a sad story. I loved Whitney Houston when I was a little girl and it's sad to see her go at such a young age.
Nice....I loved every word and picture!!!
Beautiful tribute. Very clever the way you incorporated her songs.
You have a gift.
Hello ImKarm - Just a very sad story and ending to one beautiful and talented lady, Blessings, Debby
Great hub.. well done.. Whitney Is such a terrible loss. Love her singing acting and her beautiful smile. My heart is broken
I voted way up
Blessing to you
Debbie
Good job. I toyed with the song title idea, but I couldn't do her justice. It still makes me sad to know shes gone and I wonder what could have been if Whitney never met Bobby.
Voted up, awesome and interesting! I like the way you organized this article including Whitney's song titles in your letter to her (if I can call it that way). I was very sorry to hear about her death and the life she had led in the past years. She is the best singer of modern times (oops, was) and there's no doubt about that.
P.S. I wouldn't say that her ex-husband was to blame for her addiction. It was a choice she made, not somebody else.
Very clever write! Such a sad thing really--so much talent--
